Jewish Life Cycle
From Cradle to Grave and all the steps along the way, Jewish tradition has many ways to mark the milestones of your life. Not having access to a rabbi because you are not affiliated with a Temple or Synagogue can often add to the stress of these events. The Centre for Jewish Excellence is here to help you observe the special moments of your Jewish life in a spiritually meaningful way.
Baby Naming Ceremonies
Every Jewish child deserves a spiritual welcome into this world, and a ceremony in which he or she receives a Hebrew name. Whether you prefer a large celebration with family and friends from far and wide, or an intimate gathering at home, I can help you to welcome your baby into the Jewish community and bestow the blessings of our heritage on your child.

Bar & Bat Mitzvah Services — not just for kids
Bar and Bat Mitzvah marks the coming of age for a Jewish child and his/her first steps into Adult Jewish life. Click on the link to "The Mitzvah Experience" for more information on how we can help you to make this a wonderful, meaningful milestone for your child.
What if you're already a grownup, but missed out on the experience of having a Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebration? Not a problem! I am happy to work with Jews of any age who are interested in exploring and celebrating their connection to Jewish faith and heritage. So, whether you're 12 or 92, or somewhere in between, I would be honoured to work with you and get you prepared for your own Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration.

Weddings
Mazal Tov! You have found your basheret, your perfect match, and now it's time to plan the special day that will mark the beginning of your new life together. I will create a unique wedding ceremony that celebrates the essence of your love and reflects what is important to you as a Jewish couple. For more information, see the "Weddings in Wine Country" link on this page.

Transitions ...

Most of us are familiar with the typical rituals of Jewish life. However, contemporary life often presents us with major milestones for which there is no spiritual framework within which we can grieve, celebrate, or simply transition. Whether you are closing a chapter, or beginning a new one, I can help you mark and celebrate the transitions in your life with contemporary rituals that are rooted in Jewish tradition.
Funerals
Coping with the loss of a loved one is especially difficult if your family is not affiliated with a synagogue community. At this fragile time in the life of any family, you deserve a caring and respectful person to help with the details of saying goodbye. In your hour of need, I am here to help you honour your departed loved one while tending to the spiritual needs of the living through funeral or memorial services.
